New & Improved Tactical Holster
Product Description
The 6305 includes all the features of the popular 6004 tactical holster, but its been improved with one key addition - Safariland's new Automatic Locking System (ALS). This model employs the SLS as the primary security system, but it also has the internal ALS device that retains the weapon in all directions, even if the primary retention system is left open.
The 6305 provides 3 key design elements different than the older models. First, once the weapon is holstered, it "locks" into place, providing an extra measure of security. Second, the holster is completely operable with the thumb, making it very instinctive to use. Third, once these retention devices are released, the weapon can be drawn straight out of the holster with no twisting or other motion required.
The hood guard, included in the holster design, allows for a smoother single-motion draw, and provides greater protection from weapon take-away, resulting in greater reliability in the unpredictable environment of tactical operations. The hood is released by simultaneously being pushed down & forward. It actually makes the weapon more secure when upward force is applied.
The Tactical Finish protects the gun in scrape-scratch-dent incidents. The thermal-molded Safari-Laminate protects the gun, and the molded sight track and soft Safari-Suede help protect the sight and finish. Key to comfort & stability of this holster is the double leg strap and the leg shroud. The leg harness is lightweight and simple to operate. The difference between this holster and the 6305 is that this holster does not have the extra release buckle on the vertical leg strap.
