This is the newest boot by 5.11 Tactical for Firefighters and EMS professionals. This model of the boot has a Composite Safety Toe which is ASTMF 2413.05 Rated. The Company boot has a slip-on upper with heavy duty elastic and full grain leather which gives it a highly polishable toe. The sturdy stay-flat pull tabs add to the ease of donning and doffing the boot, and there's a hidden pocket on the boot for a key or other item. These boots have 5.11's Shock Mitigation System which makes them very comfortable for all-day wear. There's an anti-bacterial lining (great if you're making EMS calls), non-metallic construction, a composite shank, and oil/slip resistant outsole.

It inherits cotton's natural breathability, comfort, and ease of care. Its fire-retardant nature is inherent to the fabric and doesn't wash or wear out. FR-x3 exceeds minimum standards in NFPA tests for after-flame and no-drip properties according to ASTM D6413.
